    Hi John

That hasn't worked - I can only set the more pointer to be right at the top or right at the bottom which means we either get the whole post in the summary or nothing at all other than a more... button

    Hi David,

I've updated this article with the description how to set the Excerpt manually.

This system does not solve anything.

When I move the slider and identify an area for the excerpt, that area keeps Motopress shortcodes and so I have to change it every time manually removing the shortcodes because otherwise it does not appears on the page.

This is a big problem in your plugin.

Franco, this option was created for themes which do not transform shortcodes into content. We create each post on our blog by using MotoPress plugin and set the more tag to identify the area for the excerpt. We have never had any problems. Check please if both options: ‘Excerpt’ and ‘More’ are active in MotoPress options. If you have any questions, contact our support team, so we can help you as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.

The excerpt generated contain MotoPress's shortcodes and do not appears in the page until i delete them (tested with more themes).

"Convert shortcodes in excerpt to html" has non effect... (nothing appears)

"Automatically update an Excerpt and More tag after closing the editor" when active and save in Motopress, overwrites the excerpt by adding the shortcodes so the excerpt disappears from the page.

    What is the utility?

    When you use this features?

    (sorry for my english)
